3-Day Weekend!
It’s Sunday evening, and I’m NOT having one of my usual Sunday “I’m dreading work tomorrow morning” anxiety attacks for once! It’s the Labour Day long weekend, and I’ve been chillin’ like a villain in the past 2 days. I’ve gone to the optometrist’s for a check up, cleaned and mopped the floorboards & tiles, did 2 loads of laundry, caught up with friends on Sat afternoon, took afternoon cat naps, caught up with Samantha Who?, and tonight I’m either going out for pancakes or else have a quiet night in and maybe bake some cupcakes (… and maybe some ironing…). The best thing is, there’s still a whole day tomorrow free. :)
If only every weekend was comprised of 3 days, not the measly 2 days; it makes a HUGE difference!

Home Again
I’m back home again, just in time for Christmas, after an awesome (and not to mention COLD) time overseas! I shopped till I dropped in New York and pigged out on food in Paris. I was surprised as to how much I loved London - it reminded me so much of Melbourne. I experienced snow for the first time in New York. In the meanwhile, I’m already thinking about the next holiday for next year! (Berlin, Prague & Vienna?)

Since I don’t know any French at all, last night I picked up a pocket guide about Paris from a friend who’d recently returned from her adventures in Europe, to maybe learn a few handy phrases and words before I get to Paris next week. This French phrasebook/sheet might also come in handy.

- exchange currency (pounds & euros)
- Buy SD card for my digital camera
- put in early vote for the Federal election
- Exchange Shiseido concealer (wrong shade!)
- Cheapie pair of flip flops to wear in the showers
- Brunch with friends on Sun
- Exchange currency for USD
- Pick up European power adaptor & Paris guide book
- Post jury duty eligibility questionnaire before Friday
- Pay health insurance renewal before Friday (expires on 1 Dec)
- Check itinerary again/plane tickets
- Try to get as much done @ work before Friday! It’s a busy week up ahead…
- Start packing!
